Downtown Market

The Goei Center

The Goei Center is a beautifully restored industrial building that offers a unique and unforgettable wedding experience. With its exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and large windows, it’s the perfect setting for a modern, yet timeless wedding celebration.  One of the things I love most about The Goei Center is the versatility of the space. Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony or a grand reception, this venue can accommodate your needs. The main ballroom is spacious enough to accommodate up to 500 guests, while the smaller rooms are perfect for more intimate gatherings.  Another great feature of The Goei Center is the outdoor courtyard. The courtyard is a beautiful space that can be used for outdoor ceremonies or cocktail hours. With its brick walls, wooden pergola, and lush greenery, it provides a stunning backdrop for photos. 

The staff at The Goei Center is also top-notch. The Cheney Place

The Cheney Place is a unique and historic venue located in downtown Grand Rapids. The building was originally built in 1913 and was used as a factory for the Cheney Silk Mills. In recent years, the building has been beautifully restored and converted into an event space that is perfect for weddings.  One of the things I love about The Cheney Place is the stunning architecture and design of the building. The original brick walls and exposed beams give the space a rustic and industrial feel, while the modern updates and elegant lighting create a warm and inviting atmosphere. 

The Cheney Place offers several different spaces for weddings, including a large main hall, a smaller lounge area, and a beautiful outdoor courtyard. This variety of spaces allows couples to create a wedding that truly reflects their style and vision.  As a photographer, I appreciate the natural light that pours into the space, which creates beautiful and flattering light for photographs. And with so many different backdrops and textures to work with, I always find new and creative ways to capture stunning images.

Broadway Avenue

The Broadway Avenue is a stunning new venue that provides the perfect backdrop for any wedding. The venue has a modern, chic design, with a spacious open floor plan that can be customized to fit any wedding style or theme.  One of the things that I love most about The Broadway Avenue is the natural light that floods the space. The large windows and skylights allow for beautiful, bright photos that capture the true essence of the day. Whether you’re having an indoor or outdoor ceremony, The Broadway Avenue offers plenty of natural light to ensure that your photos are stunning. 

The venue also offers a variety of backdrops for your wedding photos. The rooftop terrace provides a breathtaking view of the city, while the brick walls and industrial details of the space create a unique and memorable atmosphere. The Broadway Avenue truly has something for everyone.  In addition to the venue itself, The Broadway Avenue offers a range of amenities to make your wedding day even more special. From a fully stocked bar to a state-of-the-art sound system, the venue has everything you need to create an unforgettable celebration.

New Vintage Place

New Vintage Place is a historic building that has been beautifully restored to its former glory. The venue features exposed brick walls, original hardwood floors, and large windows that flood the space with natural light. The vintage details are perfectly paired with modern amenities such as air conditioning, an elevator, and a sound system. 

One of the things I love about New Vintage Place is the flexibility it offers. The venue has several different event spaces that can be configured in a variety of ways to suit each couple’s unique style and needs. The main event space, known as The Loft, can accommodate up to 300 guests and is perfect for both ceremonies and receptions. The Loft features a stunning wooden bar and a beautiful stage for live entertainment.  For more intimate gatherings, The Studio is a perfect option. This smaller event space can accommodate up to 100 guests and has a more intimate feel. The Studio is perfect for ceremonies or small receptions and features a built-in bar and a unique, industrial feel. 

The venue has been designed with eco-friendly practices in mind, including a green roof and a rainwater collection system. As a wedding photographer, I appreciate this dedication to sustainability and love that my clients can feel good about their choice of venue.
