Romantic Silver Lake Sand Dunes Engagement

This romantic silver lake sand dunes engagement session was one for the books! It was so fun to get creative with M and B and do something that was completely them! When B told me about what she was hoping for in her photos, I knew we could make it happen.

This night at the dunes was also B and M’s first time to Silver Lake Sand Dunes, and let me tell ya, it’s SO MUCH fun to be with someone who’s experiencing this magical place for the first time. I remember the first time I had ever been here, and I couldn’t believe that this place existed IN MICHIGAN! Growing up, I hadn’t been exposed to much of the state outside of the area between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, which is where I’m from. So, to be able to explore more of our beautiful state with people who appreciate it as much as I’m growing to, it’s an amazing thing!

Another thing that’s amazing? When you meet a couple that appreciates your art, and wants to create WITH you. I can never express just how much this shoot meant to me. Not just because another amazing couple has trusted me to photograph a special part of their lives and their relationship together, but because they trusted in my creativity. M and B’s engagement photos were such a recharge for me, and really helped me not just create for my clients, but also create for myself. I was able to create work that not only did my couple love, but I loved as well, and found rejuvenation in.
