Back in May, I had the chance to photograph my friend’s backyard wedding in Flint, and get ready for a long post full of beautiful photos! Jeremy and Aimee got married on May 4th and had a Star Wars themed wedding, as one does. And it was an absolute banger of a day!

We started off the morning with Aimee at a friend’s house relaxing while getting makeup done. It honestly was perfect for her, because not only did she have so much time to really sit back and enjoy her morning, it gave her time to read through notes that all of her girls wrote for her. It was honestly just the best morning.

The ceremony took place in the groom’s parent’s backyard which was also just so special. All of their favorite people in one spot, in a place everyone loves and feels comfortable, it was so much fun. And because it was Star Wars themed, the decorations matched in the absolute best way possible. Every table setting was gorgeous, and the couple also had lightsabers as favors for all of their guests, which we used for a cool nighttime tunnel.

And then to end the night, the couple had a huge bonfire in the back of the property. People sat with their loved ones enjoying the fire, others ran around with lightsabers playing. You really couldn’t have ended the night in a better way. This was one of my longer wedding days to date, but it honestly didn’t feel like it. I had a freaking blast, and I hope you fall in love with this day just as much as I did!
