Nelson and Kira’s Amway Grand Plaza wedding in downtown Grand Rapids was a day to remember! Their wedding party was probably one of the biggest wedding parties I’ve ever photographed, and they were some of the funnest people I’ve ever had the chance to work with. It was fun to meet people from different parts of Kira and Nelson’s lives and to see just how freaking loved they are.

Kira and Nelson moved back to West Michigan not too long ago from Florida, and it was definitely a transition! Kira had worked at Disney for YEARS entertaining sweet kids and their families throughout the park in so many different capacities. Moving up to West Michigan was definitely a change of pace.

When I first chatted with Kira about her and Nelson’s wedding at the Amway Grand Plaza in downtown Grand Rapids, I just knew their style and take on their day was going to be so unique and classy. They had lived in Florida for awhile, and so they incorporated alot of greenery and palms into their decorations. And it honestly just made sense! And then when I had the opportunity to meet up with them in Spring Lake for their engagement session at the Lilley Mansion, I just knew we were going to vibe! Nelson and Kira have such a fun way of incorporating their vintage classic style into modern day life. Not only in the way they dress, but also in the gifts they gave. Everything just screamed vintage elegance. And that’s how I would describe these two.
