This day running around downtown Palm Springs in California with A & J was so much freaking fun! I had never been to Palm Springs before, so having people to show me around was exactly what I needed. And it doesn’t hurt that they were down for literally whatever I asked them.

We first had to start at the iconic pink door. If you google “pink door palm springs,” you’ll see pages and pages of the exact spot we were in. Now mind you, at this location, there really isn’t any shade. So if you’re there in the summer, make sure you have sunscreen and a water bottle with you. It isn’t for the faint of heart! Palm Springs in August is BRUTAL! It honestly makes me so happy that I live in Michigan.

After we had our fill of the pink door, we decided to hit some spots in the main part of downtown and get some iced teas. It was nice to be able to sit in the shade and chat! A and J actually are a model couple who travel the world for different shoots. But this was actually the first time they had ever been photographed in the place where they live. So this was special!

After we cooled down and got some teas, we made our way over to the Trixie Motel! We didn’t go inside, but we were able to hang out front and get some of my favorite shots of the whole day actually. I’m not usually a fan of pink or anything SUPER girly, but dang! This place was absolutely gorgeous! And during the afternoon hours when the sun is starting to set, literal prime time! Once you actually go through these photos, you’ll see exactly what I mean!

So needless to say, if you’re in the Palm Springs area, don’t sit on it! But maybe going closer to the end of the year so you don’t roast yourself!
