Ben and Karissa’s engagement session at Little Presque Isle in Marquette was so much stinkin fun! I had never been to these trails in Marquette before, so it was fun getting to explore them with a couple that calls them home!

This was my first time meeting both Ben and Karissa. We had chatted on the phone, but that was it. So getting to meet them and really see their personalities shine through was everything! They are so chill and so laid back, but their session was filled with so much love and care for each other.

It was fun not only exploring a place that means alot to both of them, but also seeing where they will be getting married in October! How many people can say that they had their engagement photos taken in the very spot they’re going to be saying their I Do’s?

I seriously can’t wait for their wedding in October. One of their desires for their wedding photos is to be able to look back and see some of their favorite people in one spot, enjoying and celebrating life with them.

And honestly, I truly believe that’s what a wedding day should be. Portrait time is fun, and I do believe you should have some photos together on your wedding day. But the memories you’re going to make with the people that matter most to you? Those are priceless. And I truly believe that’s what you’re going to look back on with the biggest smiles on your face. Those are the photos you’re going to show your loved ones in 50 years. Yes, you’re going to show everyone a few portraits of you, your love, and you both together. But you’re also going to show them the laughs and smiles you shared with those closest to you. And that’s a legacy worth passing down!
