This Little Presque Isle Marquette elopement was a day that I will honestly never forget! It was without a doubt the perfect elopement day. The sun was shining, the temperature was literally perfect! And the bride and groom looked absolutely amazing!
The thing I love about Ben and Karissa’s elopement day was that it was exactly what THEY wanted. They invited their closest friends to stand up as their witnesses, and also to marry them! And, it was in one of their favorite places to spend time together. You really couldn’t ask for anything more.
I started off the morning with meeting Ben in the parking lot of their first look spot just outside downtown Marquette. After I got some detail photos, we decided to make the hike out to the overlook where Karissa would meet us for their first look. It view was absolutely stunning! I had never been to this specific spot before, and it honestly just didn’t look like we were in Michigan anymore. The Upper Peninsula is always surprising me with the most beautiful spots!
After their first look and private vows, Karissa had told me that they scheduled out an hour to do photos, just the two of them. I really couldn’t have been more happy. This was their day, and they were doing everything their way. Which in my opinion, whether you’re eloping or having a full wedding, this is how it should be.
After we finished photos, we headed over to Little Presque Isle for their ceremony, which was short and so sweet! I watched them enjoying time with their friends, taking film photos of each other and just enjoying the day with their favorite people.
We then took some “bridal party” photos together, a few more couple’s portraits, signed the marriage license, and then finished the night at The Delft where they were having dinner all together. I know I’ve said it multiple times before, but I’m going to say it again. It really couldn’t have been a more perfect day.
Ben, Karissa,
Thank you SO MUCH for allowing me to photograph you two. Your engagement session, your elopement day – they were honestly the most perfect experiences, and I couldn’t be more grateful that I was able to capture it for you two. You are both freaking amazing people, and just know that anytime I’m in town, we’re getting dinner and catching up!
I love you both!
