Jack and Sam’s Journeymans Distillery wedding in Three Oaks, Michigan seriously couldn’t have been more perfect. Not only do these two have the absolute best friends and family, but the weather was totally on their side the entire day! But let’s start from the beginning, shall we?
Sam and her entire side of the wedding party got ready at a family friend’s house out on Lake Michigan. And when I say this place was an absolute dream, I’m not joking. Way more than enough room for everyone. A few outdoor areas to hang out in. It was literally perfect. And Jack was able to have his side at his parents’ house not too far away. It was so stinkin perfect!
Something that Jack and Sam did on their wedding day that I absolutely love, is that they wrote personal letters to each other. If you’re not going to be doing a First Look or a First Touch, then handwritten letters or vows are honestly the next best thing. Not only is it just a fun thing to do, but you can convey so much love and emotion this way, if you can’t be together. Or choose not to be. No matter what you do, there is no wrong way to do your wedding day if it means something to you two.
The ceremony was held outside in the back of the distillery, and the amount of smiles and laughter throughout the whole thing just showed one – how much love Jack and Sam have for each other. And two – how much love their friends and family also have for them. It’s so much fun being able to see people come together to celebrate the ones they love.
And then there’s the reception! When I say the dancing didn’t stop, I’m not joking. There were literally no slow songs for the entirety of the evening. And I won’t lie, I’m not upset about it! I’ve honestly never seen the dance floor so full, and STAY full! Every single song that Jack and Sam chose was perfect. All you wanted to do was dance! And if you weren’t dancing, you were heading to the bar to grab a drink and then head back out onto the dance floor!
After the reception was over, everyone drove back to Jack’s parents’ house to end the night with some fireworks! It was honestly one of the best ways to end a wedding day.
