Gull Lake Island Elopement Celebration

Andrew and Marta’s Gull Lake Island elopement celebration was seriously such an amazing night with their closest friend and family! We started the evening off with a boat ride over to the island. The only way to get to the island is by boat. All of their guests were ferried over by boat throughout the whole evening and everyone was able to enjoy drinks from the tiki bar they had set up just outside the house.

The other part that made this whole evening special outside of celebrating Andrew & Marta’s marriage was that everything was held at Marta’s parents’ lakehouse on the island. It was so much fun seeing everyone enjoy something that meant so much to Marta and her family growing up. And let’s not forget that the dogs on the island all run around off leash and have the whole run of the place! Seeing so many dogs just enjoying being around people and playing together made this girl’s heart so insanely happy.

It was honestly so amazing to see so many people who love Marta and Andrew so much to travel literally from all over the world to celebrate them. They had some dear friends from Spain that made the trip over, and to listen to all of these people talk about their relationship with them and the impact they have had was so touching.

It’s events like this that remind me of why I love my job so much. To be able to listen to complete strangers talk about how loving, inviting and caring my couples are is such a privilege. I have the honor of witnessing so many deep connections and capturing once-in-a-lifetime moments, and I hope you know that I would never take it for granted!

I hope you know how much I loved getting the chance to meet you and your friends & family and being a part of something so special for you two. We felt so welcomed, it was like we were photographing good friends of ours. I can’t thank you enough for you kindness and just your openness to get creative with us! I can’t wait for our shoot on the lake with you two!
