Rooster Ridge Vineyards Wedding

Andrew and Gabby’s wedding at Rooster Ridge Vineyards in New Era, Michigan was so beautifully focused on family and friends. As soon as I walked into the ladies’ getting ready space, they made sure that I felt welcomed and at home with all of them. Which I didn’t expect anything less. Gabby and Andrew are two of the sweetest, most laid-back, welcoming people. So it makes sense that their families would be the same. When you’re doctors and just in the medical field in general, you just need to let loose and have some fun.

Gabby and Andrew’s day was the perfect mix of elegant and fun. If you check out a couple of the detail photos, you’ll see that Gabby’s dress was definitely the perfect princess dress. And she chose to mix in her love for soccer with the shoes she picked to wear. And when you know Gabby, it makes perfect sense.

A special touch Andrew and Gabby did with their seating chart is something I had never seen before. When guests went up to the seating chart, they found an envelop with their name and table number, with a personalized letter just to them from the couple. There weren’t many dry eyes around the reception area.

After we did their portraits, just before we went back to the reception, Gabby and Andrew decided to find a secluded spot and read personal vows to each other. If you’re ever on the fence about doing personal vows in front of people or alone, or even before or after the ceremony – let this be your inspiration to literally do whatever the heck you want. Andrew and Gabby didn’t do a first look, but they knew they wanted their vows to be between just the two of them, so they chose to read them just before the reception. So no matter what you choose to do, know that as long as it’s what you want, then it’s perfect.
